If you're tired of your usual holiday ham and you consumed enough turkey for the entire year at Thanksgiving, go Cuban this Christmas at Nacional 27. The Latin-fusion restaurant is offering its annual Cuban holiday menu, a four-course, prix-fixe feast complete with paired cocktails, on Wednesday, Dec. 10 and Wednesday, Dec. 17.
The dinner includes a duo of black bean and tortilla soups (paired with Harvey's Armontillado sherry), mixed greens with avocado and caramelized onions in a sherry vinaigrette (with a Skyy Citrus "Cielo" mojito), roast suckling pig (with a San Juan shiraz) and "drunken" sponge cake with dulce de leche (a Caribbean pumpkin tres leches egg nog will finish you off). The meal is $36.95 per person, while the popular suckling pig entree is served daily through Dec. 23 for $24.95.
You can also have a Cubano Christmas-to-go, with the entire dinner (plus the Nacional 27 mojito kit) all available for carry-out or delivery through Dec. 23.
