Get Revved Up for Restaurant Week

Is there a restaurant at which you've been dying to dine but your limited budget has been holding you back? This economic climate is not one where you want to throw caution to the wind, either.

Luckily, the Chicago Convention & Tourism Bureau is putting on the 2nd annual Restaurant Week  from Feb. 20-27.   $22 prix-fixe lunches and $32 prix-fixe dinners (beverages, tax and gratuity not included) will be offered at 130 eateries around the city. According to an article in the Chicago Tribune, this is three times as many restaurants than participated in 2008.

From the casual Rock Bottom Brewery in River North to the upscale NoMI on the Mag Mile, there are plenty of options to choose from. Make your reservations soon; this is a popular week for participating restaurants.   You can always do a “late Valentine's Day dinner” if your sweetheart will understand and be as budget-conscious as you.  And if not, well, maybe it's time to find a new sweetheart.
