Chicago and Chefs: A Love Affair

"Chicago Chef Week" showcases the city's chef-driven restaurants

Chicago's appreciation of chefs is legendary -- from award-winning heavyweights like Shawn McClain (a 2006 James Beard Award recipient) and Paul Virant (Food & Wine magazine's "Best New Chef" for 2007) to upstarts like Robert and Allison Levitt (the husband-and-wife team behind white-hot Mado). So, it's only fitting that we should celebrate the inaugural "Chicago Chef Week," held from Sunday, Feb. 22 through Friday, Feb. 27, by eating at the city's many restaurants that let their chefs shine.

Some of the area's best chef-driven restaurants will take part in the festivities. Each restaurant will offer a special three-course, prix-fixe menu for $32 during "Chicago Chef Week." In addition, both Province and Sepia will offer a three-course, prix-fixe lunch menu for $22.

The restaurants participating in "Chicago Chef Week" include:

Reservations can be made through OpenTable.com or by contacting each restaurant directly.
