This Week in Chicago Fashion

World Fashion Chicago, AKIRA host fashion shows

If you're looking to get your fashion fix in the city this week, there's a couple of easy, yet stylish options.

World Fashion Chicago is presenting its annual show on Wednesday at Millennium Park's Harris Rooftop Terrace.

The show features designers tied to Chicago's Sister Cities -- places like Petach Tikva, Israel; Shenyang, China; and of course, Paris, France.

Standing room only tickets are $25 and the $100 VIP ticket also gets you admitted to the after-party at the new River North hot spot Cuvee.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the runway show slated for 7:30 p.m.

AKIRA Presents "Avalanche"

AKIRA is transforming hot spot V Live (2047 N Milwaukee Ave.) into the rugged terrain of the West for its latest extravaganza.

The "Avalanche" show features the latest casual footwear and denim collections from Tretorn and AG Jeans, all presented by FORD models.

It all goes down Thursday, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and the show beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Admission is free but reservations are limited. Email events@akirachicago.com with your number of guests.
