Obama Girls Crash Retailer's Web Site

Shoppers sought to duplicate the girls' inauguration look

The fashions of Michelle Obama weren't the only threads being reviewed on Tuesday.

It turns out that the first daughters did some success dressing, as well, and interest in their attire led to the crash of the J.Crew web site, as shoppers tried to grab duplicates of the head-to-toe outfits.

Malia and Sasha Obama wore clothes from Crewcuts, the kids line from J.Crew that boasts "designer details" and couture touches on its mini-me separates.

The Daily News reported that the retailer's Web site, www.jcrew.com, was down for about a half hour on Inauguration Day, but efforts to connect to the site on Wednesday morning were also unsuccessful.

While the president faces a crisis in the nation's economy, his wife and daughters may well give a boost to select retailers just by getting dressed each day.
