Fashion Focus Chicago: Best of the Rest

Chicago's ode to the local fashion scene runs October 15-21

Your wardrobe may be getting a workout during Fashion Focus Chicago. A different runway show and/or fashion-related event is going down every night between October 15-21.

We've already told you about the official headlining fashion shows, but here's our picks for the rest of the week:

October 15: Night at the Museum takes over the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, dubbed as a celebration of fashion, art, music, nature and culture. Designers include Mark Roscoe Design, Heidi Hess, Thierry Roger, SOFIA AZZAD and Sharon Delacruz. General admission tickets are $50 but several other pricing plans are available.

October 16th:

  • Next Fashion Chicago takes over Germania Place in the Gold Coast for the second year. A host of designers such as Akira, Sahar Dada and Cleons Clothing Co. will present their latest designs in a European setting, and make sure you stick around for the post-show after-party. General admission tickets are $35. (Full Disclosure: The event is hosted by NBC 5's Marcus Riley and Candace Jordan.
  • Don Draper fans will want to head to the Blackstone Hotel for a Mad Men Event. Twenty designers will create Mad Men-inspired garments during the show. Think cocktail-retro party with a vintage Hollywood flair. General admission tickets are $40.

October 20: Via del Corso Masquerade Affair takes over the Fiat Chicago dealership, featuring a fashion presentation showcasing Chicago clothing and jewelry designers and flamenco music courtesy The Bandoleros. General admission tickets are $75 for the black tie event.

October 21: Chicago designer Anna Fong closes things out with an exclusive preview of her Spring 2013 Collection at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel. Her "Queen of Hearts" collection draws inspiration from the Victorian ages. General admission tickets are $35 and include a cocktail party kicking off at 6 p.m.
