International Academy of Design & Technology hosts student fashion show

Students and faculty of Chicago's International Academy of Design & Technology (IADT) will produce "Imagine 2009," the school's 30th annual fashion show, at 7PM on Thursday, May 21. The benefit runway show will take place in the Great Hall at Union Station and will include looks by budding designers enrolled in the school's fashion program.

More than 100 original student designs will be showcased on the "Imagine 2009" runway, including looks in the categories of avant-garde, cocktail, evening, bridal, ethnic, knitwear and faux fur. The entire show is created, produced and presented by students and faculty from all programs of the design academy, including Interior Design, Advertising, Multimedia Production, Merchandising Management and, of course, Fashion Design, working on everything from the show's logo to stage decor to casting the models.

General admission tickets for the "Imagine 2009" runway show are $40 per person and are only available in advance. Get yours by visiting the IADT Web site, by calling 312-980-9295 or by emailing imagine09@iadtchicago.com. A percentage of proceeds from ticket sales to the event will benefit charities including the Humane Society, Bridge to Success, the Lynn Sage Foundation and the Sierra Club.
