Rent the Runway This Holiday Season

Web site offers couture dresses minus the cost

This time of year it's one cocktail soiree after another, so let’s be honest -- you want to look good for every last one of them.

Sadly, most of us are not celebrities, and most of us don’t have access to dresses worth thousands of dollars, so without further adieu, let's welcome Rent The Runway into our fashion-void lives.
RenttheRunway.com is an invitation-only online community (founded by two fashionable Harvard Business School Grads) that allows women to rent dresses for about 10 percent of their retail cost. We’re talking drool-worthy frocks by the likes of Herve Leger, Proenza Schouler, Peter Soronen and more.
The site works with more than 35 designers and gets shipments of the latest and greatest runway pieces that customers can rent for around $100.
You’ll find frocks that all the celebs are sporting, like this taffeta rocker dress from Tracy Reese that Taylor Swift was seen in, and this Pencey Neon Marquee Dress worn by Paris Hilton.
You can even dress like Michelle Obama when you rent a Peter Soronen number.
Make “reservations” online after browsing their fab selection and the dress will be delivered the next day to your door. In the package you’ll also find a "fit kit" featuring products from Braza (deodorant wipes, double sided tape, magic clip bra strap converter)  to ensure the perfect fit.
And the best part is the next day, you just pop the worn dress (no dry cleaning needed -- they handle that for you) in the prepaid envelope they provide, and you stick it in the mail.
Hassle-free fashion -- that’s what we’re talking about. Just don't procrastinate -- something this spectacular doesn't come without a wait list, ya know.
