The W Hotel is going retro on Friday for “An Evening of Modern Vintage.”
The fashion event, organized by StyleChicago.com and ristorate we (inside the W) will pay homage to the looks of the 1950s and ‘60s.
If classic cocktails (Tom Collins, anyone?) and vintage-inspired looks are your passion, you’ll be right at home. The mezzanine ballroom will transform into a boutique where you can browse pieces from The Garment Room, Silver Moon and Store B. MAC and Benefit cosmetics will be on hand to recommend vintage shades to complete your outfit.
Once you’re glammed up, take in Tim Long’s presentation on the fashion of the era. Long is curator of Chic Chicago, the Chicago History Museum’s current fashion exhibit.
So, buy tickets, and get ready to party like it’s 1959.
