Represent! Chicago Bands to Hit SXSW

More than two dozen Chicago-area bands will make the trek to Austin, Texas next month for the annual SXSW music+film+interactive festival.

According to an updated band/venue list on the festival's Web site, at least 29 local artists are slated to perform throughout the five-day music portion of the event.

The SXSW Web site -- sxsw.com -- has the full schedule, broken down by day and venue.

The event is one of the largest music festivals in the country and has been held every year since 1987.
