GOT JOKES? The Red Bar Comedy Club officially begins tonight inside Ontourage, billing itself as Chicago's only downtown destination for stand-up comedy. The club has a Vegas-style atmosphere and turns into a nightclub after the comedians leave the stage with dancing and drinking until 4 a.m. No drink minimum. 8 and 10 p.m. shows, 157 W. Ontario St

CLASS ACT: Be among the first to check out the highly-anticipated Act One Café (1330 W. Morse Ave.), which opens its doors in Rogers Park today. The 100-seat facility is attached to the Mayne Stage, making it the go-to spot for a meal before or after shows. It's run by GM and executive chef Jimmy Madla, the former drummer for Veruca Salt and obviously a guy who knows how to keep the beat going.

UP WITH MARKET: Head over to Market Bar (1113 West Randolph St) in the West Loop this weekend where they're celebrating their first anniversary with a public open house reception Friday and Saturday nights that includes free samples from the new menu, live music onthe rooftop at sunset on Saturday, a chance to ogle the new Rolls Royce Ghotst, the Bentley Continental Supersport and the Spyker C8 Lavioletter, plus the first glimpse at the newly-renovated rooftop deck.
