Do clowns creep you out? Did that evil clown popping out from under the bed in 'Poltergeist' cause you to wet your pants back when you were a kid?
Then you might want to check out the first annual March Against Clowns pub crawl on Saturday, May 30 benefitting Open Heart Magic, a non-profit organization that uses magic as a basis for therapeutic and positive interaction to empower children who are in hospitals.
While it would appear from the official web site that it is too late to sign up for this new $30 Bucktown pub crawl that will get you drink specials at six bars, it's worth swinging by one of the stops along the way for a pint to learn more about the charity, and possibly even make a donation.
Plus, with a name like ''March Against Clowns,'' and the likelihood of magicians doing a trick or two, how can you not want to see how it all plays out?
Stops include Cans Bar and Canteen, 1640 N. Damen Ave.; Lemmings, 1850 N. Damen Ave., Lotties Pub, 1925 W. Cortland Ave.; Pint, 1547 N. Milwaukee Ave.; Silver Cloud Bar and Grill, 1700 N. Damen Ave.; and Wicker Park Tavern, 1958 W. North Ave.
