Hairbangers Bash

Plus, spring hair, roller derby and cocktails for charity

WHERE THE LADIES AT: If you need to squeeze a last bit out of your weekend, hang out with Poor Little Rich Girls Sunday at The Franco Tricoci Beauty Bash at Hub51. Twenty bucks gets you a 90-minute hosted cocktail and hors d’oeuvres reception, live hair demonstrations from Tricoci and his team with an emphasis on hot spring styles and a runway show to cap things off. 7:30 p.m., 51 W Hubbard, email RSVP@OutfitEvents.com

DESIGNER DUDS: Re.Stock Shop is billing itself as Chicago's only traveling designer sample sale, claiming to offer a wide range of merchandise and sizes, instead of just the smaller sizes sample goods are known for and at prices up to 80 percent off retail price. Most of the items are samples or overstock, so some of the pieces are one of a kind. The store pops up once a month, so this weekend is your chance. SAT and SUN 12pm to 6pm, 3221 N. Broadway

ROLLER DERBY: Check out The Windy City Rollers as The Manic Attackers take on Hell's Belles, and the Double Crossers face off against the Fury at the UIC Pavilian. If you haven't checked out professionaal women's roller derby, it's time to get familiar. 5 p.m., 525 S. Racine Ave., $20

CHARITY COCKTAILS: Lumen hosts "Cocktails for a Cause" Saturday benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Twenty bucks gets you a two-hour hosted cocktail reception, tons of raffle items and music by resident DJ Jem. Not a bad warmup for the rest of the night. 7 p.m., 839 W Fulton
