Springsteen Announces Concert at Wrigley Field

"The Wrecking Ball World Tour" will make a stop in Chicago on Sept. 7

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band announced new dates for his tour Friday morning and Wrigley Field is one of the stops.

The Wrecking Ball World Tour is set to march into Wrigleyville on September 7. Tickets will go on sale April 21 through tickets.com or calling 1-800-THE-CUBS. The prices range from $45-$103 and there is a limit of four per purchase.

Rumors were swirling back in January as to whether The Boss would play at Wrigley Field after Labor Day.

The tour coincides with the release of Springsteen's latest solo album, "Wrecking Ball."

He'll be joining the other musical superstars who have played Wrigley, including Jimmy Buffett, the Police, Dave Matthews Band, and Billy Joel and Elton John.

Last summer the Chicago City Council approved a relaxation of rules limiting Wrigley to just 30 nighttime events per year. The move allowed Paul McCartney to play Wrigley Field in July.
