Here's Your Lollapalooza Lineup…

More than 100 acts announced for Lollapalooza 2009

Last month, a few of Lollapalooza's headliners were leaked: Kings of Leon, the Beastie Boys, Tool, the Killers, reunited Jane's Addiction, and Depeche Mode.

Event founder Perry Ferrell has now unveiled the full 2009 lineup, consisting of more than 100 acts.

One of the featured performers will be Chicago native Andrew Bird, a multi-instrumentalist who is proficient in the violin, guitar, mandolin, glockenspiel and (a crowd favortie) whistling.

Additional highlights of this year's three-day festival include Lou Reed, TV on the Radio, the Decemberists, Neko Case, Animal Collective, and Rise Against (not Rage Against The Machine).

The bill also brings together hip-hop artists (Asher Roth, the Knux, Snoop Dogg) and indie acts (Silversun Pickups, Band of Horses, Deerhunter).

Lollapalooza 2009 will also offer a nightclub-style stage called "Perry's," where DJs like MSTRKRFT, Simian Mobile Disco, Kaskade, and 18 others are scheduled to spin tracks.

Lollapalooza takes place August 7-9 in Grant Park.

Early-bird three-day passes have already sold out, but "advance price" passes are still available at Lollapalooza.com for $190. When those are gone, regular-priced passes will sell for $205. The festival, produced by C3 Presents, sold out all three days last year.

The entire line-up along with music samples of each artist can be found at the Lollapalooza 2009 Web site.
