Never one to take her celebrity too seriously, Kathy Griffin simultaneously savors and skewers stardom. (Must be her Midwestern roots.) Catch the Chicago-born comedienne as she hosts Bravo's "A List Awards" on Wednesday, April 15 at a cheeky viewing party at Lakeview's Kit Kat Lounge & Supper Club.
The "A List Awards," which feature such accolades as "Reality's Guiltiest Pleasure," "Sexiest TV Moment" and "A List: Abs," will air on Kit Kat's five jumbo-sized screens at 9PM, but the festivities, including performances by the famous Kit Kat Divas, will take place throughout the evening (Kit Kat is open from 5:30PM until 2AM on Wednesday). Bravo-inspired cocktails will add some tongue-in-chic humor to the proceedings, such as the "Auf Wiedersehen," with Absolut Pear vodka, pineapple juice and a splash of champagne; the "Top Chef Tini," with Vox vodka, St. Germain Elderflower liqueur and a splash of champagne; and the "Skinny Girl Margarita," featuring Bethenny's prescribed mix of Sauza Hornitos Plata Tequila, triple sec and lime juice. All cocktails are half-priced ($5.50) in honor of the occasion.
Kit Kat chef Matt Stovey will also have some fun with the evening's menu, offering buy-one, get-one entrees, such as the "Make Me a Supermodel," with rock shrimp, spinach, mushrooms and a white wine-cream sauce over spinach linguine ($18). We won't tell Tyson.
The first 50 guests will score goodie bags, so make it an early evening, rock star.
