Finally Some Rest for the “Wicked”

Hit musical leaves Chicago after Sunday performance

If you've thought to yourself, ''I really need to see 'Wicked' at some point,'' you're probably out of luck. Unless you have tickets for this weekend, you won't be able to see the show again in Chicago.

The witches of 'Wicked' will take their final bow on Sunday, Jan. 25.  at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts Oriental Theatre (24 W. Randolph St.).

A whopping 2.9 million theater-goers have attended 'Wicked' in Chicago; it is unsurprisingly the longest running Broadway in Chicago musical in the city's history.  It's been a long yellow brick road since it first opened with a Chicago cast on June 24, 2005.

If you want tickets at this point, you'll have to be creative. A quick glance at Craiglist showed some tickets for sale, albeit for much more than the highest face-value cost of $105.  It's the same story on eBay.

Out of luck? You can always get your Xanadu fix instead.
