Vertigo Sky Lounge Opens Atop the Dana Hotel This Weekend

It was an Alfred Hitchcock movie. It was a hit song by U2. And now it's a swanky new lounge in the city.  According to Thrillist, Vertigo Sky Lounge, the long-awaited lounge atop the Dana Hotel will open its doors this Saturday. Equipped with floor-to-ceiling windows and an outdoor lounge complete with a fire pit, which should give it a bit more longevity than most outdoor spaces, Vertigo has the makings of being the next ''it'' spot on the Chicago nightlife scene.  With cocktail waitresses pushing carts replacing a go-to bar, the intention is to make guests feel like they're at a cocktail party. (Except it's a cocktail party where you pay for your drinks…)  You can also place orders for cocktails not featured on the carts.

Hungry? Order something from the small plates menu from downstairs Ajasteak, like the wagyu carpaccio, a selection of maki and nigiri or cold bahn mi ''hiro'' sandwiches.
