Hang Out with the Cubs

Ryan and Jenny Dempster host charity benefit

The Chicago Cubs' product on the field has hardly been anything to write home about, so if you're going to spend a ticket, why not save the disappointment and just hang out with some of the players.

You'll get a chance to do just that on August 19 at Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab when starting pitcher Ryan Dempster and his wife Jenny host an event to benefit their foundation.

Not only can you mingle with the couple, other Cubs players are expected to be in the house as well.

The South Beach-inspired event offers complimentary hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, "beachy" tunes and a raffle with select items like a round of golf with Dempster and three guests, Cubs and Bulls tickets and an autographed Jonathan Toews Blackhawks jersey.

The Ryan & Jenny Dempster Family Foundation was founded in honor of the couple's 16-month-old daughter, Riley, who was born with DiGeorge Syndrome/VCFS, a rare disorder that affects her ability to swallow and digest food.

The event runs 6-9 p.m. and tickets are $55 in advance and $70 at the door. Ticket prices include complimentary hors d’oeuvres as well as Bacardi and Grey Goose cocktails. Click here to RSVP.
