Got a new special someone who is maybe a little *too* new to do the whole, dinner, roses and chocolates thing on Valentine's Day? You don't want to freak him or her out, after all. But if you intend on keeping this someone around, you'd better at least make some kind of effort to recognize the commercialized holiday – just to show you care.
Make a reservation for two for the Naked Winery Pre-Valentine's Wine Tasting sponsored by the Lincoln Park Young Professionals at Dragonfly restaurant in the West Loop. Held on the slightly more platonic Wednesday, Feb. 11 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., taste wines from Naked Winery and Blue Heron wines while snacking on Dragonfly appetizers. Naked Winery president David Barringer will be on hand to talk about the wines. A wine tasting is romantic enough without being too over the top – save the candlelit dinner for next year – if you make it that far.
Tickets are $20 in advance; $30 at the door. Purchase tickets online at Going.com, or call 312-642-5097.
