Shedd Offers Free Admission

Visiting Chicago's fantastic museums can be a pricey affair for a family, but this week, you can take in one of them for free.

The Shedd Aquarium is offering free general admission, starting today, through Friday, June 17.

Your free ticket will only get you into the Shedd's original galleries, but there's a discount for the Shedd Pass, which will get you into the rest of the aquarium for $20.95 for grown-ups, $13.95 for kids. You'll still need to buy a $3 or $4 ticket to see the jellyfish or the aquatic show, respectively.

The Shedd can be a busy place on a regular summer day, but toss in these big ticket savings, and it's likely to be packed. The aquarium recommends you buy your tickets in advance.
