Hip Hop Fans to Get Whatever They Like

Former Rivals Team Up for Concert

Northern Illinois University is proving that there is more entertainment than corn and beer in DeKalb.

On February 20, Grammy nominated hip hop artists T.I. and Ludacris will hit the stage of the university's NIU Convocation Center performing songs from their recently released albums and other songs that lead to platinum status.

T.I. just released his album "Paper Trail" in fall 2008 and it debuted at number on the Billboard 200. After the album went Platinum, it was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album.

Ludacris is not just a rapper. In recent years he has also had successful careers in acting and philanthropy. He is also a label executive and a contributor to Michigan Avenue Magazine.

Songs from Ludacris' new Grammy winning album, "Theater of The Mind" will be performed at the concert.

Tickets will be available  January 17 at 10:00 a.m. at the Convocation Center box office and at Ticketmaster outlets, Ticketmaster.com, or charge by phone at (312) 559-1212.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.
