Does Chicago Got Talent?

NBC show looking for area talent

Warm up your vocal cords or start practicing that kazoo because producers for the hit NBC show "America's Got Talent" are headed to Chicago to find potential contestants for season five.

An open casting call is scheduled for this weekend at McCormick Place (2301 S. Lake Shore Dr).

And while you won't get a chance to hassle the Hoff at this casting call, producers will be looking for a wide range of talent -- musicians, dance crews, magicians, contortionists, comedians, singers, jugglers, animal acts and more.

Contestants are encouraged to pre-register here, and while submitting a video beforehand isn't mandatory, producers would like to see some of your talent beforehand.

And if you're worried that you don't have what it takes to win, keep in mind that a singing chicken farmer from Kentucky won last season's top prize -- $1 million and a headline act in "America's Got Talent Live," hosted by Jerry Springer at the Planet Hollywood Casino in Las Vegas.
