    Chicago native Common is hitting the road in Feburary.

    In honor of Black History Month, the award-winning hip-hop artist is hosting a speaker series that celebrates innovative African Americans.

    AT&T created the series, which spans five cities starting in Atlanta on Feb. 7. Common takes the tour to the Field Museum on Feb. 17 and sits down with Kevin Powell, an author, activist and recent Democratic candidate for Congress in New York.

    Tickets to the series are free but limited. Each event also can be streamed online.
