You may still be recovering from New Year’s Eve, but that doesn’t mean your social life has to come to a standstill.
So get it together and head out to the Stimulus Social Club’s first event of 2012, taking place on January 4 from 5:30-9:30pm at Vertigo Sky Lounge. 0 0 1 134 765 AOL 6 1 898 14.0 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-priority:99; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:12.0pt; font-family:Cambria; mso-ascii-font-family:Cambria; mso-ascii-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-hansi-font-family:Cambria; mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin;}
A donation of $10 at the door gets you in to the cocktail party and hooks you up with a free drink, passed appetizers and the opportunity to mingle with other socially-conscious professionals in the Chicago area who choose to give back while throwing down (and, as the organization claims, change the world one cocktail at a time).
Proceeds from the event benefit StandUp For Kids, a not-for-profit organization founded in 1990 to help rescue homeless and at-risk youth.
After all, helping others gives you an excuse to continue drinking cocktails in 2012, even if you vowed to lay off the booze, doesn’t it?
You’re welcome.
