Fashion's Night Out

Consider this Neiman Marcus' response to the down economy. The upscale retailer is attempting to put the fun back in shopping with a huge fashion event. Enjoy makeovers, hair and skin consultations, a beauty photo booth and a fashion show. The ladies will definitely want to check out the Manolo Blahnik fall trunk show, and special appearances by chic handbag designer Lauren Merkin and "Top Chef New York" contestant Radhika Desai.
Old Town's New Joint

The folks behind Old Town Social purposely kept things on the down-low before officially opening its doors a couple of weeks ago, but tonight we'll check what the buzz is all about at this contemporary spot with an old-fashioned scene. We'll try not to fill up at the charcuterie bar, but we wouldn't be doing our job if we didn't at least sample something from the 60 selection-strong beer list.

The groupies will be out in full force tonight as NBA star Dwayne Wade hosts a bash, one of many appearances he's making this week to benefit his Wade's World Foundation. Plenty of his ball-playing buddies will be in the house as well, and we're pretty sure plenty of Bulls, Bears and even Blackhawks will be represented. And hey, D. Wade, please show up before midnight -- we've got work to do tonight.
