8/8-9: Deliciously Unhealthy Hot Dogs, $5 cocktails, and an All-Day Vino Special

A new hot dog joint, an Amy Winehouse tribute and all the wine you can drink

DOG HEAVEN: Hit Lincoln Park's just-opened weiner Shangri-La The Dog Joint, home to Chicago-style dogs, unhealthily delicious hamburgers, savory Italian beef, and veggie dogs --  but what's the point vegetarians, when you'll surely be buzzing on a contact meat-high. The Dog Joint's open until 4 a.m. Friday and Saturday nights.

GRAPE EXPECTATIONS: RSVP to Schoolyard Tavern & Grill's "Wino Party" this weekend, where they're offering all-day unlimited house red and white wine for one $20 bill (known to giddy over-imbibers as the Wacko Jackso). You might want to pace yourself with the neighborhood hang's famous grilled cheese with tater tots. Sat. 11-3 a.m. and Sun. 11-2 a.m.

WINEHOUSE RETREAD: You probably can't see the real thing (unless you hop a flight to London or St. Lucia), but you can get the Amy Winehouse experience at "House of Winehouse" starring impersonator Dana DeLorenzo at Spin in Boystown. And if you really want to emulate the beehived one, hit the drink specials hard: $4 Blue Moon drafts and $5-$7 Absolut cocktails. Sat. 9:30 p.m., $10-$15.
