8/10: Late-Night Brunch in River West

Another Orange opens, LooseLeaf Lounge $1 teas and Shellac plays for free

INFINITE A-PEEL: Hit up the latest location of Orange, located a citrus squeeze from the perennially hip Funky Buddha Lounge, for an early-afternoon or late-night brunch (the River West spot is open from 8-4 a.m. Thursday through Sunday) this week. You'll get to feast on all of the funky Orange favorites, from hearty sandwiches and light bites to signature flights of pancakes and fresh fruit "frushi" -- which you'll order either because it's really good, or because you're overly confident in your manhood.

CHICAGO TEA PARTY: Celebrate along with LooseLeaf Lounge in Lakeview for its first anniversary. The thoroughly modern tea salon will commemorate its big occasion with a week's worth of specials, kicking off today with $1 cups of white teas, bagels with cream cheese for $1.25 and Black Forest ham-and-cheese sammies for $4.50. 7 a.m.-10 p.m.

LIFE AFTER LOLLA: Still recovering -- or reeling -- after the three-day Lollapalooza festival? Buck up and head to the Jay Pritzker Pavilion after work, where Shellac, that legendary noise rock manifestation of Steve Albini's never-ending angst, will play a free show tonight. 6:30 p.m.
