Tonight: Alvin Ailey Jumps Off

Plus, Superfun at Jbar, club fashion and dollar drinks

DANCE ON: The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Alvin Ailey’s Revelations!, and tonight kicks off a series of performances at the Auditorium Theatre. Performances will be held through the weekend, with two presentations on Saturday and a matinee on Sunday. 7:30 p.m., 50 E. Congress Pkwy., $30-$87

SUPERFUN: Wednesday nights at Jbar inside the James Hotel are so consistently good that we often take it for granted. Tonight, check out why the Superfun party has become such a celeb draw and often leads to spontaneous bouts of dancing on couches. DJ Timbucktu spins by after performing at the Lupe Fiasco concert. 10 p.m., 610 N Rush St, FREE COVER

CLUB FASHION: Surreal presents the JM Couture Military Fashion Show tonight at Crescendo night club. Music will be half house and half mash-ups with DJs Gus Karas and Gordo on the decks, complete with live dancers and performers. Use the password "Surreal" for free entry. 11 p.m., 222 W. Ontario

GOT A BUCK? Save your pennies and hit Spin nightclub tonight for the ultimate cheap night -- dollar drinks. That's a measly buck for well drinks, wine and horrible beer, aka, Miller Lite and Coors Lite drafts. 9 p.m., 800 W Belmont Ave
