The former U.S. science adviser for COVID-19 vaccines has been fired as board chair of a medical research company over sexual harassment allegations.

With only nine days to go, it’s unlikely the U.S. will meet the original goal of having 20 million people vaccinated by the end of the year, members of Operation Warp Speed said Wednesday.

Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar gave an update on Operation Warp Speed on Tuesday and suggested that if vaccine data continues to be promising, vaccines could be deployed to the most vulnerable Americans before the end of the year.
