heartbreaking scenes the nation has faced. But 27,000 crosses later, the Aurora, Illinois native has given up the job that gave him a grim but powerful purpose for so many years.
A retired carpenter from Illinois is honoring each victim of the country music festival shooting in Las Vegas with a cross. Greg Zanis installed 58 crosses Thursday near the “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign to remember the lives taken in Sunday’s mass shooting.
