After a push from lawmakers in Great Lakes states, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will now refer to what was previously called ‘Asian carp’ as ‘invasive carp,’ after acknowledging the term could contribute to xenophobia and racism.

The dish hasn’t caught on with U.S. consumers, despite its popularity in much of the world.
