Free Health Screening With Pro Football Legend Could Save Your Life

Don’t miss former Washington Redskins quarterback Joe Theismann live in our studio during the 6am hour on Wednesday June 15th. He’ll be in town to promote a free health screening to detect a deadly vascular condition called an abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) that’s being offered for Chicago-area residents age 60+.

More than 1 million Americans are living with an undiagnosed AAA. If the aneurysm bursts, only 10-25% of people will survive – making it the 3rd leading cause of sudden death in men over 60 (and its 3 times more deadly in women).  Screening for AAA is quick and non-invasive, involving a simple ultrasound of the abdomen. The risk for AAA increases for people that are age 60+, have a history of smoking, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or a family history of the disease.

The event runs 8 am - 4 pm  on  Saturday, June 18th at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place Hotel in conjunction with the Society for Vascular Surgery’s annual meeting and is sponsored by the Find the AAAnswers (www.FindtheAAAnswers.org) campaign. Valet parking is free.

Call (866) 371-3592 to register in advance, as spaces are limited and advance registration is required.  For more information visit http://bit.ly/AAAScreening and don’t forget to register by calling (866) 371-3592 – this 10 minute test could save your life.
