Fort Pierce Man Files Voodoo Curse Police Report: Cops

The man said he believed people in the Haitian community “had turned against him and placed a voodoo curse on him,” according to the Fort Pierce Police.

A Florida man called police to complain about a voodoo curse, saying he wanted the curse to be documented in case he became ill from it, authorities said.

The Fort Pierce man said he believed people in the Haitian community “had turned against him and placed a voodoo curse on him,” according to the Fort Pierce Police.

The 35-year-old man said the curse, which had been placed on him for about a year, was designed to gather his personal information, police said.

The man told authorities on Nov. 17 that so far, he had not been a victim of identity theft or anything related to it, according to authorities.

But the man said that “other Haitian people were jealous of him, and that is the reason they burdened him with the curse,” according to the police report.

The man said he reported the curse because he wanted it to be on the record “in the event that he were to suffer ill effects from the voodoo at some point in the future,” police said.

According to the police department, the man “seemed normal” and said he did not want to harm anyone else or himself.
