Curse Out The Bartender, Get A Free Drink

Spanish bar tells patrons to blow off steam

"Pull your head out of your keyster and give me some more of that watered-down swill in a dirty glass, you lazy keg jockey!"

A line like would get you bounced out of most bars, but it could get you one on the house at a bar in Spain.

At Casa Pocho, a new watering hole near Valencia, owners will award the best insults with booze, according to Reuters.

"When you come in after work, you can swear at them and call them bastard or imbecile,"  customer Antonio Ossa,  told state news agency EFE.

One of three owners, Polish-born Bernard Mariusz , invites patrons to "a good festival of insults" each night between the hours of 5 and 9, according to Spanish news site, El Mercantil Valenciano. Mariusz says this is something that will give his bar a competitive edge, and something that might even minimize domestic disputes.

As long as your jokes are not "ill-mannered," anything goes, Mariusz told Reuters.

"That way [patrons] won't let it out on their family," he said.

The owners aren't planning on hiring security, according to El Mercantil.  They see it as more of a therapeutic place than a violent place.

Mariusz's words of wisdom: "To say 'moron' with a smile and good humor is a good thing.'"
