6-Year-Old Tries Driving Himself to School

Parents charged with child endangerment

A Virginia couple faces child endangerment charges after their 6-year-old tried to drive himself to school.

The boy missed his morning bus recently and, determined not to miss breakfast and P.E., he went into his sleeping mother's room and got the car keys.

The kid drove nearly six miles before crashing the car into a telephone pole. He was uninjured, but missed breakfast at school.

He told police he learned to drive playing video games.
