New iPhones May Be Unveiled Next Month

Lower-cost multi-color iPhones may be part of new offerings

The anticipation may soon be over for Apple iPhone users anxious to see the next generation of phones.

According to All Things Digital, Apple executives are scheduled to unveil the next iPhone on September 10.

The new device, either an iPhone 5s or 6, is expected to have enhanced camera and processor and potentially a fingerprint sensor due to Apple's acquisition of a company last year that specializes in the technology.

The new phones will also run iOS 7, a complete redesign of the iPhone's interface.

If Apple follows its usual pattern for releasing new products, the new phones should be available to the public a couple of weeks after the unveiling.

Rumors are also swirling that Apple may introduce a lower-cost iPhone available in multiple colors in order to compete with the cheaper Android devices on the market.
