Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Bulls guard Larry Hughes will presumably miss six weeks with a dislocated right shoulder following an MRI exam, according to a report in the Chicago Tribune on Thursday.
Hughes left late in the third quarter of Wednesday's 85-75 preseason win over Minnesota after crashing into the Timberwolves' Mike Miller while battling for a loose ball. He scored 21 points before exiting.
According to the report, new head coach Vinny Del Negro said a second MRI scheduled for Friday will provide a more definitive answer on how long the former first-round pick will be sidelined.
Hughes has averaged 14.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists over 618 career games with the Sixers, Warriors, Wizards, Cavaliers and Bulls.
