Despite travelling to Vancouver with his teammates, forward Patrick Sharp will not play for the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday evening.

Sharp, who missed some significant time after suffering a shoulder injury against the Colorado Avalanche, will miss his fifth consecutive game Monday with an upper body injury. He played in only two games upon his return and was injured in an April 12 game against the Detroit Red Wings.

According to various reports, he is likely to return to the Hawks lineup on Wednesday when they travel to Edmonton to take on the Oilers.

Meanwhile, the Blackhawks will have goaltender Ray Emery back in the fold on Monday. Emery missed the past two games with a lower body injury, and the Hawks had called up Rockford goalie Carter Hutton to take his spot. Emery will be the backup against the Canucks, with Corey Crawford getting his third consecutive start in net for Chicago.
