Ochocinco Already Tweeting Trash

Bengals receiver delivering pregame threats via popular Web 2.0 service. This ain't your daddy's trash talk.

Chad Ochocinco is already bringing pre-game trash-talk to the Bears-Bengals match up on Sunday. His Twittering has managed to raise the attention of Jay Cutler and Alex Brown. He informed both players that the Bears secondary is going to give up an inevitable touchdown to Ochocinco. In other words, they're going to "kiss the baby."

"Tell your defense I'm gonna run circles around them," Ochocinco tweeted to Bears quarterback Jay Cutler. "I'm mad we lost [Sunday to Houston], peanut [Charles] Tillman is gonna kiss da baby along with the rest."

Cutler then responded with this tweet: "it's only Monday. Already starting?

Ochocinco: "damit Jay I have to get a jump on yall, on a serious note tell Lovie to put Tillman on me all game with safety help, please!!!!"

Cutler: "Peanut on you with safety over top. You got it. Anything else you would like me to pass on?"

Ochocinco: "well after I embarass the secondary I want your jersey after game , that's all for now"

Cutler: "double coverage all game might be difficult. Don't you think?"

Ochocinco has been firing tweets in all Bears directions, but he landed another hit when Alex Brown responded on behalf of his own secondary:

Ochocinco to Brown: "get your db's on Twitter before Sunday , you have till tonight to reply or you gonna feel my wrath to!!"!

Brown: "lol my db's are ready and I have all the respect in the world for Carson but it's hard to complete passes from his back ;)"

Ochocinco: "hold up son,we don't give up sacks and I get open in 1.5 seconds, you won't make it past our tackles anyway, shut the front door"

Brown: "well if they don't give up sacks then why do u have to get open in 1.5 sec?"

Ochocinco: "that's how fast I am duh, go get your study film and watch me work on film , I'll sign it for you after you watch it!!!"

Brown: "uh oh they are trembling in their cleats lol we will be ready for you don't u worry it will be a good game for sure"

There's likely a school of thought out there that says this stuff is silly or wrong or what's bad about the NFL -- imagine Mike Ditka trying to read this story without his head exploding. But we disagree. As a matter of fact, this is what's awesome about the NFL, and what's awesome about Twitter.

Twitter allows regular fans access to their favorite athletes on a level we'd never have imagined 10 years ago. When those athletes happen to be as hilariously crazy as Chad Ochocinco, entertainment ensues. And as long as it's not a distraction from what happens on the field on Sunday, who cares, right?

In any case, Bears fans aren't taking Chad's tweet-trash quite so lightly; ChicagoNow's Rock Report is calling for Bears fans to crash Ochocinco's account with too many messages. Which is probably an illegal DNS (denial of service) attack. Might be something to check on. In the meantime: Woo, go Bears! LOL!!!11
