Former Blackhawks forward Marian Hossa joined NBC Sports Chicago's Blackhawks Talk Podcast on Friday to talk his recent election to the Hockey Hall of Fame and more.
One of the questions from podcast host Pat Boyle, regarding if Hossa would accept a position from the Hawks in the future, elicited a fairly telling response.
"I have a strong (connection) with the Blackhawks. I'd love to still be part of it somehow," Hossa said. So we'll see what's going to happen in the future, but definitely I want to be in contact with the organization because I have just great, great memories.

"There's great people working there: Rocky Wirtz, what an amazing owner and I just love to be in the city with the people. So much energy in that city. So I just love to be there. I miss being there right now because it's been too long. I haven't been to Chicago because of this virus, so looking forward to coming to Chicago and hopefully one day be part of the team again."
Hossa arrived in Chicago on a free-agent contract in 2009. In July of 2018 his contract was traded to the Arizona Coyotes. He didn't play the previous season due to a skin condition. The winger's last game was April 8, 2017, a 3-2 overtime loss against the Kings in LA in which he recorded four shots on goal but no points.
His 525 career goals rank 35th in NHL history.
