Rockies Go on Coffee Run in Full Uniforms Before Cubs Game

Rockies players go on Wrigleyville coffee run in uniforms originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago

The Cubs and Rockies had a long afternoon scheduled Wednesday, with a split doubleheader starting at 1:20 p.m. after Tuesday night's rainout.

The players will need their energy, and what better way to prepare for the day than a cup of coffee?

The Rockies sent a group of their young players, dressed in their full uniforms, on a morning coffee run to Wrigleyville's Do-Rite Donuts.

The full-uniform coffee run is a classic sight in baseball, certainly in Wrigleyville. The Marlins sent a group of rookies to Dunkin' before a game against the Cubs earlier this season.

In 2019, former Cubs shortstop Javy Báez chronicled his journey to the old Wrigleyville Starbucks on his Instagram story.

It never gets old.
