NBC's Tony Dungy: Bears Defense ‘Basically, Giving Up Here' Amid Blowout

Dungy: Bears defense 'basically, giving up here' amid blowout originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago

The Packers took it to the Bears on Sunday Night Football, and NBC analyst Tony Dungy pulled no punches with his analysis of Chicago's play.

After Green Bay went up 41-10 with a rushing touchdown from Jamaal Williams in the third quarter, Dungy offered a brutally honest assessment of what he saw from the Bears.

The fact Dungy made that assessment is noteworthy. He's a former head coach, a Super Bowl champion and Hall of Famer, at that. What he says carries a ton of weight, and it's not what you want to hear about a Bears team coming off a bye.

Forty-one points are by far the most the Bears have allowed this season, part of a rough night for the defense where Aaron Rodgers led touchdown drive after touchdown drive.
