Mike ‘Doc' Emrick's Top 10 Blackhawks Calls

Mike 'Doc' Emrick's Top 10 Blackhawks calls originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago

On Monday, legendary NHL play-by-play announcer Mike 'Doc' Emrick announced his retirement after being a professional broadcaster for 47 years. Emrick was the first media member to be elected into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame (2011).

Here's a look back at his Top 10 Blackhawks calls:

10. Patrick Kane reaches 100 points in 2015-16 with a hat trick, assist

In this contest (April 3, 2016), Kane reached 100 points for the first time in his career with three goals and an assist against the Boston Bruins, and Doc captured all the majesty.

9. Seabrook's overtime goal in Game 4 of 2013 Stanley Cup Final vs. Bruins

"Kept along by Seabrook, drives, scorresss!"

8. Andrew Shaw's 'shin pads' goal in 3OT of Game 1 of 2013 SCF

A shot by Michal Rozsival, deflection by bolland and off Shaw's shin pads... It was pure madness and Doc didn't miss a beat.

7. Antoine Vermette scores in 2OT of 2015's Game 4 in the Western Conference Final

"Vermette! It's over!"

6. Kane's goal in Game 6 of 2015 Stanley Cup Final

Brandon Saad made a perfect drop pass to Brad Richards, who passed it to Kane for an insurance goal for the ages.

5. Duncan Keith's game-winning goal in Game 6 of '15 SCF

"It's Keith the shot. Save. Roubound. He scoresss!" Just vintage Emrick poetry.

4. Marian Hossa exits penalty box, scores in Game 5 of the 2010 Western Conference Quarterfinals

"Bolland back, Sopel a drive"...

3. Brent Seabrook's overtime goal in Game 7 of 2013's Western Conference Semifinals

Everything was on the line for the Hawks, who crawled back to force a Game 7 after being down 3-1 in the series and having what would have been the game-winning goal in the third period disallowed, and Emrick captured the moment as he always did, perfectly.

2. Kane's overtime goal in Game 6 of 2010 SCF

Kane scores in overtime to help end Chicago's 49-year Stanley Cup drought. Doc was as confused as every other hockey fan on where the puck was and zeroed in on the craziness, "What chaos!"

Hear the call at 7:33.

1. 17 Seconds

"They score!! Bolland! 3-2 with less than a minute to go!"

Bryan Bickell and Dave Bolland scored late in the third period of Game 6 against the Bruins, 17 seconds apart, in the Stanley Cup Final to help bring the Cup back to Chicago.
