Patrick Wisdom's breakout 2021 season has earned him recognition from his peers across baseball.

The Cubs third baseman is a finalist for National League's Outstanding Rookie Award, part of the annual MLBPA Players Choice awards.

Cardinals outfielder Dylan Carlson and Reds second baseman Jonathan India are also nominated for the honor — held in high regard by MLB players because they conduct the voting.

Wisdom, a rookie in his age-29 season, hit 28 home runs this season, surpassing Kris Bryant's Cubs rookie record (26) set in 2015.

Wisdom led NL rookies in homers (third overall). His .823 OPS ranked third among qualified rookies, behind teammate Frank Schwindel and India.

India hit .269/.376/.459 with 21 home runs and 69 RBIs in 150 games. Carlson hit .266/.343/.437 with 18 homers and 65 RBIs in 149 games, helping the Cardinals reach the postseason.

Winners for all Players Choice Awards will be announced next Thursday, Oct. 28, at 5 p.m. CT on ESPN.
