Cubs' Kris Bryant Leaves Game at Pirates

Cubs’ Kris Bryant leaves game at Pirates originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago

Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant left the game at Pittsburgh after the second inning Monday.

During his first at-bat that inning, Bryant stepped out of the batter’s box after a swing-and-miss, his right shoulder hanging. He winced as he moved it around.

Cubs manager David Ross and an athletic trainer went out to check on Bryant, but after a conversation, Bryant finished his at-bat. He grounded out to third base.

In the third inning, David Bote replaced Bryant in the field.
