Cubs top prospect Brennen Davis makes his first start of spring training Friday, against Cleveland at Sloan Park.

Davis, 21, has logged an at-bat in each of the Cubs’ first four spring training games this season, scoring one run. But he has yet to record his first hit.

Starting in center field, Davis joins a lineup of mostly everyday players. First baseman Anthony Rizzo is penciled in at the top of the batting order, followed by catcher Willson Contreras, designated hitter Joc Pederson, third baseman Kris Bryant, Shortstop Javier Báez and right fielder Jason Heyward. Cameron Maybin rounds out the outfield in left.

Nico Hoerner, the Cubs’ most consistent hitter so far this spring, gets the nod at second base. He navigates a quick turnaround after also starting in Thursday’s night game against the Dodgers.

Right-hander Alec Mills takes the mound. First pitch is scheduled for 2:05 CST.
