The Cubs announced their 50-man player pool - those eligible to play for the team this season - on Sunday afternoon. Thirty of the players will make up the club's initial Opening Day roster, while the remaining will train at an alternate site (the South Bend Cubs' facility).
The alternate site squad will remain inactive unless need arises - i.e. due to injury or any potential positive COVID-19 tests. The club began testing players and staff on Saturday. There are no surprises on the player pool and no one has opted out.

The Cubs must cut their roster down to 28 players for the third and fourth week of the regular season. It must then be cut to 26 for the final two weeks.
Asterisks are for players not on the 40-man roster. There are still 10 open spots in the player pool.
