Chance the Rapper has spoken. With the White Sox looking for a new manager, he wants to see Ozzie Guillen back on the bench.

Chance has been a bit of a White Sox ambassador over the years. His first pitch in the rain-- and little dance afterwards-- has become a favorite gif of Sox fans on Twitter. He has continued a longstanding trend of repping Sox hats in hip-hop and has even designed new hats for the team.

But according to Rick Hahn, Chance’s dreams won’t come true. In his press conference on Monday, Hahn announced that Guillen wouldn’t be in consideration for the managerial vacancy.

It’s understandable why Chance, and many others on Twitter would want to see Guillen return as the White Sox skipper. Of course everyone remembers the 2005 World Series season with Guillen at the helm. He also won a division title in 2008, and compiled a 678-617 record from 2004-2011. As a fiery leader he also got ejected 27 times, firing up both his team and his fans.

It’s not as if Guillen is shying away from the job on his end. Several times on White Sox Pre and Postgame Live, Guillen has mentioned he’d love the opportunity to manage again, whether that be for the White Sox or somewhere else.

But for now, Chance, Guillen and White Sox fans will have to set their sights on another candidate.
