Bulls' Javonte Green Enters NBA Health and Safety Protocols

Green enters health and safety protocols, out vs. Nets originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago

Javonte Green has entered the NBA's COVID-19 health and safety protocols and is out for Saturday's matchup with the Brooklyn Nets, the Chicago Bulls confirmed through its injury report on Friday.

Green is the second Bulls player to enter protocols this week. Coby White tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday, Dec. 1, just before the team departed for its current two-game New York road trip.

The Bulls won the first game of that swing on Thursday, 119-115 over the Knicks at Madison Square Garden. Green started and played 29 minutes in the contest, tallying four points and five rebounds.

Green, who has appeared in all 23 of the team's games and started 12, is the Bulls' regular starting power forward. He slid to the bench in favor of Alex Caruso when Nikola Vučević was sidelined with a positive COVID-19 test, but returned to the front line when Vučević did.

Caruso, meanwhile, is listed as questionable on the injury report with a right hamstring strain. Billy Donovan looped Troy Brown Jr. back into the rotation for nine minutes against the Knicks, but may need to dig even deeper without Green, and possibly Caruso, against Brooklyn.
